Building Methods

If a building committee is used for planning, it should preferably consist of a few mature businessmen, not necessarily designers or construction people. Their task will be weighing the options for the design and construction of the new facility and recommending the options they believe best.

Owner Management
The church builds the new facilities on its own. This means the church hires the architect and then subcontracts all the work.

Architect Management
In this method the church hires the architect, and the architect supervises the hiring of a general contractor through the traditional bidding process.

Construction Management
Under separate contract the church hires the construction specialist to work along side the architect. These two experts work together on planning and designing the project from concept to completion.
