A Checklist for Church Construction
An open letter from Don Dobbs, President of Teamway Builders:
Dear Ministry Leader:
Hello. I’m Don Dobbs, President of Teamway Builders, Inc. For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of helping numerous pastors and church planning committees build facilities that enable them to minister more effectively. Having had significant experience in church and Christian school administration, I understand the obstacles and challenges these projects present. Which is why I’m glad we’ve met.
Because growth is such an involved issue, we thought we’d give you a head start. The information in the links to the right can help you think through the process for planning your expansion project. We have accumulated this content over the years and offer this “checklist” with general information concisely written to help you get started. Our hope is that you will discover some insightful concepts that will help you avoid costly missteps as you set out on your construction journey.
While this checklist is general in its presentation, if your congregation as a whole has considered the basic questions of motivation and planning, and if your building committee has researched and evaluated each of the considerations outlined in this Checklist, you can move ahead with confidence. We at Teamway Builders, Inc. want you to “plan well, and spend wisely.” If we can help you in any way, we invite you to call us any time toll free: 1-888-TEAMWAY (832-6929). We look forward to hearing from you.
Don Dobbs
